Common questions
Where are my saved codes?
Your code is saved in My Codes when it’s ready to share. Opening the Share options alone doesn’t save it. Your library stays on your iPhone. Wi-Fi passwords are not saved; enter them again when reopening a Wi-Fi design.
Why does my design have a watermark?
You’re previewing Pro features. Preview this design for free; subscribe to Pro to export it. Watermarked Pro previews cannot be exported. Remove the Pro features to export a free design as PNG without a watermark.
How many codes can I save for free?
Free includes up to 8 saved codes. Pro includes unlimited saved codes. At the limit, you can still edit and re-export existing codes using free features and PNG. Delete a code from My Codes to make room for a new one, or get Pro for unlimited saves. Duplicating a code creates a new code and needs a free slot when saved.
What happens to my saved codes when Pro ends?
Your saved codes stay in My Codes, even if you have more than 8. You can edit them and export them as PNG when they use only free features. Exporting Pro designs, PDF, or SVG requires Pro. To save a new code for free, reduce your library to fewer than 8 codes.
How many images and text layers can I add?
Free includes one image and one text layer per design. Pro allows additional layers, up to 24 image and text layers per design. Frames and center artwork do not count toward those layers. Repeating patterns require Pro to export.
How do I restore Pro?
Use the same Apple Account used for your purchase, open PaperQR Settings, and choose Restore Purchases. An active eligible subscription or recognized earlier lifetime purchase unlocks Pro.
How do I cancel a subscription?
On your iPhone, open Settings → your name → Subscriptions → PaperQR. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Manage Apple subscriptions.
Can I get a refund?
Apple handles App Store refunds. Request a refund from Apple; approval depends on Apple’s policies.
Will my shared codes expire?
Your exported codes don’t expire when Pro ends. PaperQR does not impose an expiration date on exported QR codes. Linked websites and services can still change or become unavailable. Editing a saved design does not change copies already shared.
How do I save a PDF or SVG?
Choose the format after tapping Share. PDF and SVG require Pro, even for a design made with free tools. Save document exports to Files or share them to a compatible app; Photos is intended for image exports such as PNG.
My printed QR code won’t scan.
Try a larger print size, stronger contrast, and less artwork over the code. Test the actual print before making a batch; a successful digital scan cannot guarantee every camera or print condition.
